Your Grandpa

The national archives or something may have records, just search around on google for something about the breaker boys or records of them, or if you are very devoted, then you can get it in a PDF or something or keep it like this, and search all of the faces for a recognizable feature. Or I hate to say it, but there may be no recorded pictures of him. You could search mines in the area, then narrow down the mine he worked at. Do you know if he was a breaker boy, or a nipper or a coal cart door opener???
I'm sorry if I'm not much help, I'm only a student and I'm doing breaker boys for my National History Day competition topic. Thats how I know about it.

grandfather

I have been told that my paternal grandfather James Bingham was a breaker boy near Scranton, Pennsylvania in the early 1900's. How do I look for him?

Sorry to say that we don't have any additional information about the people in the photos or breaker boys in general. Perhaps someone will see your question and reply here. Good luck!
